Click here to place your online reserves Director's Note Gary Branson, Executive Director Community support continues! We are always enrolling more children in the Marion Imagination Library to receive a book a month from Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Ohio. We are delighted to add another partner to our funding list. Below is a photo taken recently at Stephen Chaney VFW Post 7201 where they presented Marion Imagination Library with a check to be used toward the delivery of books to Marion County children age 0 - 5. Marion Public Library is the local partner who administers the database, solicits local funding, coordinates advertising to increase registrations and more. Marion County is currently at 48% of all eligible children registered in the program. To register or to donate to the cause: $25 - covers the cost of 1 year of distribution to a child - 12 books $125 - covers the cost of a full program for a child - 60 books from age 0 to age 5 Help us spread the word to parents - get your child registered! Stephen J. Chaney VFW Post 7201 presented a check to Marion Imagination Library. Post members left to right: Richard Shroats, Tim Maynard, John Stallsmith, Bruce Lehman, Dominic Marsano and Don Schoen with Library staff members Kim Hunsicker, Gary Branson and Diane Watson. ....and the community support continues! As we closed out our Summer Reading Fun programing we wanted to extend a thank you to all of the patrons who got register, participated in activities and/or attended any of the programing. At the end of the program we had over 700 kids register, with over 3,000 hours being read by kids and teens. Kids and teen programming in June and July drew over 1300 attendees. Summer Reading Fun 2022 surpassed our hopes and expectations. Thank you to the organizations that partnered with us on programming, and the donors who made it possible to bring in wonderful performers to Marion Public Library YouTube Book Review series
