MPL VEX Robotics Camp ~ 9 and Up

Marion Public Library and RAMTEC Robotics Camp
​July 18, 19, 20
​9 am-12 pm
for ages 9 and up
(FILL OUT the form, PRINT and DELIVER to the main desk of the Library)

Day 1:
• 9am sign in (Large Meeting Room)
• Safety, terminology, tools, and software
• Introduction to building
• Introduction to programming
• Goal: working basic robot
Day 2:
• Adding and utilizing sensors
• Programming to use sensors
• Introduction to the VEX game

Adventures in TECH

Thursday, April 13
​4-6 p.m

Come explore different areas of technology, programming, and creative STEM activities.
Stop at each station and walk through the process with one of the Tri-Rivers RAMTEC students.
Try them all to see which you like best!

- Makey Makey projects
​- robots
- Arduino projects
- 3D printing
​- scratch programming

​There is NO AGE LIMIT but children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Beekeeping Program

Thursday, April 6
7 p.m.

Local beekeeper Don Jones will present a program to share his knowledge about caring for bees. Learn about raising bees, their honey, and being bee-friendly.
​Don hopes to have a display in the library before the event.

Family Fun Night - Teacup Garden

Family Fun Night - Teacup Garden
​6:30 p.m.

This Mother's Day themed craft will focus on making gardens in tea cups using baby plants.
​The BookMarks Group will assist those who want to be creative and plant an assortment of plants to make a small arrangement for Mom.

​Perfect activity for making a Mother's Day gift.
