Marion Public Library is undergoing many changes this summer as we move forward on our renovation project. This has affected access to our Ohio Room collection, which has seen many of its less-used materials moved into storage. Many of the more heavily used materials (microfilm, maps, Marion-specific materials) are still available for use. Access to these may be limited due to other programs and events at the library this summer, so we encourage you to call ahead (740-387-0992) if you are planning to use these. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Since 1979, the Marion Public Library has served as a depository for Federal, State, and Local government publications. As a depository, we provide free public access to a vast array of informational resources from many government agencies through the Federal Depository Library Program under the services of the Government Printing Office. The State Library of Ohio supports the state’s government agencies by distributing documents to public and academic libraries. Local government information includes ordinances, zoning, and environmental issues.
