Since 1979, the Marion Public Library has served as a depository for Federal, State, and Local government publications. As a depository, we provide free public access to a vast array of informational resources from many government agencies through the Federal Depository Library Program under the services of the Government Printing Office. The State Library of Ohio supports the state’s government agencies by distributing documents to public and academic libraries.
Register at the main library or any branch library to vote in local, state and federal elections. Registration deadlines apply. Contact the Marion County Board of Elections at (740) 223-4090 or for more information.
The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped provides special equipment and books on cassette or in digital form through state and local agencies to serve citizens with visual impairments. Marion Public Library serves as Marion’s local agency, and provides Talking Books cassette/digital players to eligible individuals who are unable to read due to blindness, severe visual handicap, or physical limitations.
